The Field Spaniel is one of the rarer spaniel dog breeds in the world. That makes every breeding decision count extra.
We don’t breed to have more puppies out there.
We breed with intention, because well-bred dogs with stable temperaments, supported by a strong start in life and carefully considered pairings, can enrich families, assist in therapy settings and are reliable working companions.
There are not many Field Spaniels out there, and to maintain health standards and genetic diversity collaboration is required.
🤝 That’s why we are expanding our network and looking for well-bred, health-tested Field Spaniel males who share our values.

For our FSCNSW members, we are introducing special shields at our Annual Championship Show on Friday, 3 April 2026 💫
Members who own breeds other than a Field Spaniel are also welcome to join in the fun & purchase a shield for $25 AUD.
Here is an example here for you & each year, you can add any new titles achieved that year to the shield.
If you can’t attend the show in person, we can also post your shield/s to you, or you can pick up from one of our 2026 events (we have many this year).
All you need to do is simply email info@fieldspanielclubnsw.com with your dog’s details below & any titles they achieved in 2025.
The last day to submit is Thursday, 5 March 2026.

このたび、フィールドスパニエル専門の犬舎「フィリーズボンド」を立ち上げることとなりました、小島と申します。
フィールドスパニエルという犬種は、日本ではまだあまり知られていませんが、深い歴史と気品、そして家庭犬としても優れた穏やかな性格を持つ、魅力あふれる存在です。私はこの犬種に強く惹かれ、その素晴らしさをより多くの方に知っていただきたいとの思いから、ブリーディングという道を選びました。
「フィリーズボンド」という名には、“フィールドスパニエルと言う犬(フィリー)と人との絆（Bond）を大切にしたい”という想いを込めています。私は家族の一員として心を通わせながら、ともに生きていくパートナーとしてのフィールドスパニエルを育ててまいります。
小さな犬舎ではありますが、健康で性格の良い子犬たちをお届けできるよう、誠実に取り組んでまいります。どうぞ温かく見守っていただけましたら幸いです。
フィールド・スパニエルとはAbout
フィールドスパニエルとは、中型のガンドッグ（猟犬）に分類される犬種で、イギリス原産のスパニエル系統のひとつです。もともとは水辺や草地での鳥猟に活躍する実猟犬として開発され、優れた嗅覚と高い知能、穏やかな性格で知られています。
外見の特徴としては、滑らかでシルキーな長毛、レバー色やブラック、ローン等の被毛、そしてバランスの取れた体型を持ち、優雅さと力強さを兼ね備えています。耳は長く垂れ、表情には温厚で知的な雰囲気が漂います。他のスパニエル種に比べて体高がやや高く、脚が長めで、フィールド（野原）での作業に適した構造となっています。
性格はとても家庭的で、飼い主に対する忠誠心が強く、子どもや他の動物にも友好的です。一方で、感受性が高く繊細な一面もあり、激しい叱責よりも、優しく一貫したしつけが求められます。
現在では希少犬種に分類され、家庭犬やショードッグとしても人気がありますが、本来の作業犬としての本能と能力を今も色濃く残しているため、十分な運動や刺激が必要です。静かな魅力を持ち、深く付き合うほどにその良さが伝わる、知る人ぞ知る名犬です。
海外でも日本でも非常に珍しい犬です。
